Gentlemen: The Port Coouitlam Amateur Athletic Association is now entering its’ second year of operation and has assessed the results of the 1972-73 year. The total cost of the member sports will be apvroximately $45,000 for the full year, of which approximately 6,000 has still to be raised to meet the anticipated expenditures, ; There are currently eight member snorts and two associate snorts. Only the member sports are financially Supported by the P.C.A.A.A. The number of participants in all member sports is approximately 2,650, As you are aware, one of our prime objectives is to provide svorting facilities through our member sports at a reasonable cost wittin reach of most parents. Taking last year as an example, the average cost for each particivant was aporoximately 317 of which $5 or 30% was met throuch rezistration fees. At the current level, without the addition of any other svorts, it is anticipated that the costs will, for the ensuing vear, be in the region of 350,000.
