PAK RIANA RTE RECOMMENDATIONS We both feel that the lacrosse box should he located in the S.W. corer of the school property. The reasoning for this would be that it would tie in ‘ with the other facilities, those being tennis, an all weather field, a soccer oe field, and a track. The parking situation would also be adequate, according ; to Mr. Block. This complex would greatly enhance the summer programs as they would be in one locale which makes scheduling relatively easy. A draft agreement has been prepared to cover joint constructio: of this facility with the School Board which will be presented to Council at a later date. Item III - Mary Hill Junior Secondary School A. Subject ~- Tennis Courts oe oe 4 Mr. Matheson, the Principal of the school appreached the Recreation Department on the possibility of building joint tennis courts. Having had ater several discussions with him, I would make the following recommendations. RECOMMENDATIONS a That we approach the school board on building a maximum of six tennis courts. The siting of these courts to be left to the City Engineer and the - me TASS AY y wae, engineer from School Districr #43. Further, that the monies allotted by City . Council of $28,000.00 for tennis courts be allotted to building the courts at the school. The locale of the school would enhance our tennis programs due to the face that it is close to a densely populated area. Also, that con- sideration be given to building a field house which would include showers and washrooms, which would be accessible to tennis players, soccer players, and other sport groups who use the fields, Also, that the tennis coucts at Mary Hill Junior Secondary be constructed this year.
