School board eyes expansion of Punjabi language studies STUDENTS AT Skcena Jr, Secondary will likely be able to take courses in the Punjabi language next school year. The schoo! board’s educa- tion committee has agreed to offer Punjabi in grades 8- 10, providing a few condi- tions can be met. The whole ‘board still has to approve the course, something which is expected to happen its next meeting May 7. The education committee says the course should run provided there at least 18 students entolled. It can be offered as asplit grade class and will be an alternative to French.
