That Mayor Traboulay be requested be appoint a Council representative
to serve on the Board of Directors on the Hemm Industries Society.

Carried.

Mayor Traboulay advised that Alderman W.W. Stewart would be the City’s
Representative to the Hemm Industries Society Board of Directors.

REPORTS:

From the Public Safety Committee, August 25th, 1988 concerning the
control of snakes and rodents.

That City Council authorize the City Clerk to prepare an amendment to
the Pound and Animal Regulation Bylaw, 1970, No. 1020 to control snakes, rats,
mice or rodents in the City of Port Coquitlam.

Seconded by Alderman Gates:

That the previous resolution be amended by adding at the end thereof
the following phrase:

“and to prohibit entirely the keeping of venomous snakes”.
