A regular meeting of the Municipal Council of The Corporation of

the City of Port Coquitlam was held in the Council Chambers, Port Coquitlam

City Hall, 2272 McAllister Avenue, Port Coquitlam, B.C. on October lst,

1979 at 7:30 p.m.

Acting-Mayor P.F. Ranger, Aldermen J.J. Keryluk, G.R. Laking, E.W.
‘Mabbett, L.M. Traboulay and M.R. Wright in attendance.

Also in attendance were Chief Administrative Officer L.D. Pollock,
City Clerk R.A. Freeman, City Engineer F.E. Peters, P.-Eng:, Assistant
City Engineer L. Melnechenko, P. Eng., Fire Chief W.S. Wingrove, Deputy
Fire Chief J.N. Boileau, City Planner, L. Lee, City Treasurer J.G.S.
Maitland, Recreation Director K.J. Taylor, Works & Utilities Superintendent
G.W. Ulmer, and Mrs. D.L. Vyse.

That the minutes of the regular meeting of this Council held on
September 24th, 1979 be taken as read and adopted.
Carried.
Prior to the question being called on the foregoing resolution
‘Alderman Traboulay asked for clarification on the question of water
meters for commercial properties. The City Administrator advised further

information would be available for the Public Works Committee meeting.

Alderman Ranger welcomed representatives from the Planning Department Official
Regional. Plan.

Kenneth D. Cameron and Mr. Richard T. Taylor. Mr. George and Mr. Cameron

then gave a general overview of the Lower Mainland Regional Plan

amendments now in progzvess. Council forcefully expressed its concern

regarding removal of the property in the Dominion Avenue/Lougheed

Highway area from an "Industrial" designation to an "Agricultural" designation.
Alderman Ranger introduced Mr. P. Bain, property owner of 4040 Mr. P. Bain,
