That as recommended by the Public Works Committee, November 9th,
1978 the Greater Vancouver Sewerage & Drainage District be employed as
consultant to prepare a study for the servicing of the industrial area
at an estimated cost of $6,000.00;

AND THAT the funds be appropriated from the money held in reserve
for the City by the Greater Vancouver Sewerage and Drainage District.

From the Public Works Committee, November 9th, 1978 advising of the
meeting held with B.C. Hydro to discuss the problems of the buses waiting
on Shaughnessy Street and also of the buses stopping adjacent to the Rec
Centre. Discussion then ensued on the poor bus service since the last |
schedule change.

the Ministry of Highways have been notified that the City has acquired
the property necessary to proceed with the right turn lane on Lougheed

Highway at Shaughnessy Street and that the Ministry of Highways will

proceed with the work as soon as pessible when the necessary land acquisition

has been completed from the shopping centre.

From the Public Works Committee, November 17th, 1978 recommending
that flushcoating be discontinued and asphalt over-lays be used as a
means of rejuvenating streets as in view of the small difference in cost
between paving and flushcoating, paving provides a better surface and
longer life.
