THE CORPORATION OF THE CITY OF PORT COOUITIAM BY-LAW No. 1299 A By-law to reguiate the moving of buildings into and within the - City of Port Coquitlam. The clunicipal Council of The Corporation of the City of Port Coquitlam, in open meeting assembled, enacts as follows: . ke Any building moved into the Gity or any building moved from one property to another within the City shall have an assessed value of not less than JO. of the average assessed value of all buildings within a 600° radius of the lot or parcel upon which it is proposed to locate the building, and the buiiding shall be similar in arehitectural appearance and in age to the other buildings in the surrounding area. ” are (1) Aay building moved into the City shall be of an age not greater than fifteen (15) years, (2) Any new building moved into the City shall have been inspected by duthoriced inspectors of ‘The Corporatiun of the Clty of Port Coquitlam as it is being built and shall have a minimum width of twenty (20) feet and shall sonfora in every respect to all relevant By-laws of the City. (3) Tue owner shall on request from the Building Inspector furnish prout of the age of any structure to be moved and also furnish proof of liability insurance to cover the proposed building moving in che amount of Two llundred Fitty Thousand ($250,000.00) Dollars. ic Following fees shall be payable to The Corporation of ‘the City of Port Coquitlam with respect to the moving or relocation of buildings or s€ructures: (a) For a building that is te be moved from a location within the City to a location within or without the City: Nalue of Building Fee Tayable $ - 2,00 + 15.00 up to $1,000.00. 31,001.00 and over...... (b) For a building that is to be moved from a location without the City to a location within the City: A fee calculated at the rate of $15.00 per hour, plus normal : travelling expenses for two persons, for all travelling and inspection time spent in reaching and inspecting the building at the site from which it is to be removed; plus the fees specified in subsection (a) of this section; with a minimum fee of 325.U0, 4, (1) Any person vho violates any of the provisions of t! Nig By-law, or who causes, suffers or permits or allous any violation of this ty-layv, shall be guilty of an offence against this By-law, and shall be liable upon sunvary conviction to a fine or penalty not exceeding Five Hundred ($500.09) Dollars and in default of payment of such fine or penalty such person may be comirted to inprisonneat for a term not exceeding thirty (30) days, (2) ‘A separate offence shall be deemed to be c mitted on each day durin: or on which a violation occurs. 5.
