If Council agrees with the sale of this land, estimates will
have to be prepared for servicing the site and an appraisal obtained in
order to establish value.

3. Industrial Promotion - Chamber of Commerce Convention

The Committee met with representatives of the Chamber of Commerce
regarding their forthcoming Provincial Chambers of Commerce Convention which
will be held in North Vancouver at the International Plaza on the 26th and
27th of May. The Chamber is arranging a display of promotional materials
advertising Port Coquitlam, Port Moody and Coquitlam. The function is being
financed, for the most part, by various businesses in the area, however,
the Chamber has received approval from Port Moody and Coquitlam for $100.
donation each towards the cost of refreshments. The Chamber therefore
requested a similar $100. contribution from the City.

The Committee intends to allocate $100. of its 1979 Budget
allotment for this promotion and would hope that Council would concur with
this expense.
