The Forest Practices Board is an independent agency established in 1995, that:
provides reports and recommendations to the public and government about
compliance with British Columbia’s Forest Practices Code and the achievement

of its intent.

The Board has recently released a report on forest practices near streams in
coastal B.C, The report concludes that the level of disturbance to streams from
logging is lower now than in the late 1980’s and early 1990's. Forest companies
and the Ministry of Forests are generally following the requirements of the
Code, but classification of small fish streams and logging practices near non- |

children and adults with the disorder is

following causes are most often
identified:

» Brain tumour and stroke;

* Head trauma of any type. The more
severe the injury, the greater the
chance of developing epilepsy;
