The local paper, The Daily Mercury, on Friday last printed a lengthy front page interview with Mr. Blythe and the pic- ture (above) of him with the Communist election placard in the background. In the interview the 25-year-old Communist standardbearer, a worker and trade unionist, explained his - Party's election platform with particular emphasis on the abolition of anti-working class legislation and adoption of a Labor Bill of Rights. He also dissociated his Party from a group calling itself “communist” which conducted a “Don’t Vote” campaign in the 1971 Ontario provincial election.
