MOT DE LA MINIS TRE DO PATRIMOINE CANADIEN

J'aimerais transmettre mes meilleurs voeux au comité organisa-
teur du Festival d'été francophone de Vancouver, ainsi qu’aux visiteurs
de |'étranger de passage dans cette magnifique région du Canada.

Chaque année, cette célébration de la culture francophone
attire et inspire un grand nombre d’artistes professionnels du Canada
et du monde entier parmi les plus reconnus.

Je félicite les organisatrices et organisateurs ainsi que tous les
bénévoles du Festival d'été francophone de Vancouver pour leurs
efforts et leur esprit d'initiative. C'est grace a leur énergie, a leur
dynamisme et a leur volonté d'accroitre cette forme d'expression
artistique que le festival connait un succés aussi retentissant. Je suis
persuadée que le Festival contribuera 4 préserver et a enrichir notre
patrimoine culturel. ;

A titre de ministre du Patrimoine canadien par intérim et de
députée de St-Henri-Westmount, je suis heureuse d'appuyer le
Festival d'été francophone de Vancouver.

Greetings to the organizers of the Festival d’été francophone
de Vancouver and to all visitors from abroad who are travelling
through this magnificent region of Canada.

Every year, the Festival attracts large numbers of well-known
professional artists from Canada and around the world to find
a wealth of artistic inspiration in this exciting promotion
of Francophone culture.

| congratulate the organizers of the Festival d’été francophone de
Vancouver and all the volunteers for their effort and initiative.
Thanks to their energy and involvement, as well as to their vigorous

- commitment to fostering this type of artistic expression, the Festival
enjoyed resounding success. | am confident that the Festival will con-
tinue to play a key role in preserving and enriching our cultural heritage.
