Laurent Paquin has won over a dedicated following with a
perspective on current events, society and politics that is at once
naive, lucid and searing. Since leaving the Ecole nationale de
humour in 1995, he has gone from one successful project to
the next. With three solo shows under his belt and more than
eight participations in the Juste pour rire Festival, Laurent has
become an essential fixture on the francophone comedy scene.
Recognised and acclaimed by the industry, not just in Canada
but also in France and Switzerland, he has garnered numerous
national and international awards: the “SACEM” award at the Festival
International Mont-Blanc d’Humour, the ” Perrier” award at the Montreux
Festival in Switzerland, and both the "Show of the Year” and the “Author
of the Year” awards at the “Gala Les Oliviers”. To this prestigious list of
awards, he adds numerous nominations at the “ADISQ” gala. With his
unstoppable energy and undeniable talent, Lauren Paquin is constantly
launching new endeavours. He has been a radio host, TV host, singer
with his album of humorous songs, entitled “Laurent Paquin sings
Laurent Paquin’, and also as an actor in the Canadian adaptation of
the musical comedy “Chicago”. After more than 200 performances and
ticket sales surpassing 150,000, his third show “L’ereure est humaine”
(“To err is human”), on tour since March 2013, is a huge success both
with critics and audiences. Laurent Paquin is sure to bring us a side-
splitting performance!

Comedian Virginie Fortin honed her comedic skills in improvisation,
appearing regularly from 2007 with the Ligue Nationale
d'improvisation, followed by a stint at the famous “improv”
training ground, Second City. Her career took off in 2013.
Selected in the grand finale of the show “En route vers mon

premier Gala Juste pour rire’, she went on to take part in the

“Gala d’Emmanuel Bilodeau” at Montreal's Place des Arts. With

her friend Mariana Mazza, she then launched “Mazza / Fortin’, a
two-woman-show that was enthusiastically received by critics all —
over Québec. :
At the same time, Virginie Fortin became a television personality,
recruited by “SNL Québec’, a francophone adaptation of the mythic
show “Saturday Night Live”. She also appeared with her chronicles on
‘Juste pour rire en direct” on TVA, in “Cliptoman” on Musiqueplus, in
“GROStitres” on MAty, in “Ca commence bien plus” on V and in the TV
reality show, “5 prochains” on ARTV. Recently, Juste pour rire Spectacles
took her on to produce her next one-woman-show.

Comedian Simon Gouache is a dyed-in-the-wool stand-up
comedian who draws his strength from the clever way he
manipulates language and the sincerity of his performance.
Over the years, he has honed his remarkable communication
skills, and this talent has become his trademark. Greatly
influenced by the American tradition of stand-up comedy,
Simon is a talented performer who is respected by his peers. He
has also made a name for himself as a talented author, solicited
for numerous projects both for the stage and the screen, including
multiple Uuste pour rire” galas and the comedy show “Priére de ne pas
envoyer de fleurs” broadcast on CBC-Radio-Canada. A multi-faceted
artist, he has played hilarious roles in online shows alongside Guillaume
Wagner and Benoit Lefebvre, and as “nobody” in “Un gars le soir”. Since
2013, Simon has won over audiences in his openings on tour for Louis-
José Houde, with whom he has often been compared. Gouache has
even been called the “next-generation Louis-José Houde”. The winner
of the 2014 “Victor Award - Juste pour rire Discovery” after his standing
ovation performance at the “Gala Sexe opposé”, and the winner of the
2015 “Victor Award - Coup de coeur du Festival“ following on his notable
appearances at the ‘Juste pour rire” galas, Simon Gouache promises to
bring us a performance of hearty and generous laughter.

Laurent Paquin a su séduire le public en portant un regard a la
fois naif, lucide et cinglant sur l’actualité, la société et la politique.
Depuis sa sortie de I’'Ecole nationale de humour en 1995, il
enchaine les projets et les succés. Avec déja trois spectacles
solos a son actif et plus de huit participations au Festival Juste
pour rire, Laurent est devenu un incontournable du paysage
humoristique francophone. Reconnu et acclamé par |’industrie,
il a récolté de nombreux prix nationaux et internationaux : « Prix
de la SACEM » au Festival International Mont-Blanc d’Humour, «
Prix Perrier » du Festival de Montreux en Suisse, ainsi que « Prix du
spectacle de l'année » et « Prix de l’auteur de l'année » au « Gala Les
Oliviers » en 2007. On peut ajouter a ce beau palmarés de nombreuses
nominations au « Gala de l'ADISQ ». Doté d’une énergie débordante
et d’un talent indéniable, Lauren Paquin se lance sans cesse dans de
nouveaux projets. Ainsi, il fat animateur radio, animateur télé, chanteur
avec son disque humoristique « Laurent Paquin chante Laurent Paquin
», et acteur au sein de l’adaptation canadienne de la comédie musicale «
Chicago ». Aprés plus de 200 représentations et 150 000 billets vendus,
son troisieme spectacle « Lereure est humaine », en tournée depuis
mars 2013, est un véritable succés aussi bien auprés de la critique que
du public. Il a également été une des tétes d’affiche du fameux « Bye
bye 2015 » a la télévision de Radio-Canada. Laurent Paquin nous réserve

Radio-Canada. Artiste aux multiples talents, il a tenu des réles hilarants
sur le web aux cdtés de Guillaume Wagner et Benoit Lefebvre et comme
« nobody » a « Un gars le soir ». Depuis 2013, Simon séduit le public en
endossant la premiére partie de la tournée de Louis-José Houde. Il est
d’ailleurs souvent comparé a ce dernier, et on dit de Gouache qu’il est
le « Louis-José Houde de la prochaine génération ». Lauréat en 2014 au
Festival Juste pour rire de Montréal du « Prix Victor - Révélation » suite
a sa performance ovationnée au « Gala Sexe opposé », et récipiendaire
en 2015 du « Prix Victor - Coup de coeur » suite a ses deux apparitions
marquantes aux « Galas Juste pour rire », Simon Gouache nous promet
