OF PORT COQUITLAM MEMORANDUM "JAN 6 1999 B.R. Kirk, DATE: December 31, 1991 City Administrator LR. Zahynacz, P. Eng., City Engineer Request for Barricade Improvements - Lame: Behind 2070 Coquitiam Ave. (Public Works Committee Meeting of December 30, 1991) Recommendation: 1. That Council approve the replacement of the existing srnall no-post barricades with large 600 mm (24") high barricades at the lane behind 2070 Coquitlam Avenue and east of the existing parking lot. That $3,800.00 be allocated from the Public Works Special Capital Expenditure Reserve Fund for this purpose. The Public Works Committee considered the attached memorandum from the Project Technician dated December 16, 1991 regarding a request from Dennis Webber and Inez Plane, owners of 2070 Coquitlann Avenue for larger barricades to separate the Frisco Hotel parking lot from the back lane accesz for this housing development. The Public Works Committee noted that there are existing barricades at the required locations, however, these barricades are small and large 4x4 trucks can easily drive over these barricades. Two foot high concrete barricades would correct this problem. SH Z Ve, IRZ:ck Attachments There are sufficient funds in Public Works Special Capital Expenditure Reserve Fund for this purpose. .
