Special Projects ~The Chamber of Commerce intends to concentrate in 1985 on broadening and stablizing the economy of the tri-comunity area through promotion aimed at expanding the market for the _ goods and services offered by this area. Every effort will be made to capitalize on economic Opportunities for local business particularly in light of the special opportunities offere.i by the staging of Expo 86 in Vancouver and hopefully the B.C. Summer Games in area. ‘The Chamber hopes to encourage all business to actively participate in preparations for these évents and the exciting opportunities they offer to local industry and commerce. 9. Special Projects ~In 1986 the Chamber hopes to be able to relocate its railway caboose on a permanent travellers' rest and tourist information facility to be constructed by the Ministry of Highways. The Chamber of Commerce also hopes to obtain approval to moving the old Fraser Mills Railway Station from its current location in Blue Mountain Park in Coquitlam, to the new tourist facility as an additional display area. During 1986 the Chamber of Commerce anticipates being heavily committed to promoting our area to tourists attending Expo 86 and the B. C. Sumer Games and to distributing commercial and industrial information to international participants at Expo 86.
