Re: Canadian Parks and Recreation Conference —- August 13th to 17th, 1978

Janna Taylor has asked for approval to attend the above conference
which will be held in Vancouver on the above dates.

. Council may recall that approval was given some time ago for hosting
a Luncheon during the sessions at this Conference. This Luncheon would be
held-in conjunction with a Seminar to be held in our City on Monday,
August 14th, probably at the Hyde Creek Centre.

Janna Taylor has already attended. one Conference this year and
we normally send Department Heads to one conference annually, however as
Janna Taylor is directly involved and the City is acting as a host for one
session, we felt that it would be appropriate to send her and pay the
Registration Fee of $95. There would be no other expenses involved.

I would therefore request Council's approval.
