/6. February 17th, 1975 p-m. until game completion, from May (or as soon as the ice is out) until August 31st (or until the ice must go back in). The Committee, in its report, stated that the formation of a Senior B Team has been discussed and that it feels as it is just in its first year of development, the rental rate for the team should be the same as that charged to Juniors. Moved by Alderman Mabbett: Seconded by Alderman Thompson: That as recommended in a report from the Leisure Activities Committee, February 14th, 1975, the rental rate for the newly-formed Senior B lacrosse team be $4.00 per hour for practice and game and $4.50 per hour for a game where admission is charged; further, that this rate be for the 1975 season and that a review of rates take place for the 1976 season. Carried. Alderman Keryluk inquired as to the reason for charging an additional 56ยข for games where admission is charged, and Alderman Mabbett advised that the rates were all established by resolution of Council last year. Alderman Laking suggested that the rates remain as proposed for this year until the team gets established and it can be determined how much of an attraction the games will be to the public. Alderman Traboulay referred to a previous suggestion made by Council that $25.00 be charged per game and $6.00 for practices, and he pointed out that the team would probably be subsidized by some commercial firm; however, it was drawn to Alderman Traboulay's attention that the proposed $4.00 charge is a per hour rate.
