The group is not asking for Council assistance, however, they may benefit from
Council endorsement of the project. They expect that funding will come entirely

from other sources.

6. Pollution Control Permits

In 1973 the Committee was notified by the Pollution Cor.trol Branch in Victoria that
we were considering issuing a pollution control permit to a local firm, Kenametal
Incorporated. The Committee made certain recommendations at that time as a result
‘of an extensive review of the application done on our behalf by Associated Engineering
Services Ltd. The Council adopted Associated Engineering Services' recommendations
at that time and the report was transmitted to the Pollution Control Branch,

Further information has now been received on this permit indicating that the permit
will be issued in accordance with our recommendations. One of our requirements was
that the uncontaminated discharge from the plant be separated and directed into the
