Inthe five large dogs of approximately twoand three feetin size, the boxly theme is quite three-dimenstonal and physical, while in other pieces, such asa large vessel over wo feet high, the baxdy ts painted as graphic decoration around the outer edges in glazes and oil paint, Asa result of having a larger kiln, Debra’s work has not only changed in style, but in scale, Even a chess set is larger than life. As Debra says, now that! have a bigger kiln, the door is open to working ina larger scale. The larger scale challenges me to expand the imagery that! work with. That imagery being expanded and sometimes contracted will greatly affect the work's impact. Scale does matter. Opening Reception Thursday, October 5 12:00 to 2 000, Potters Guild of British Columbia 3
