The green Ford Explorer was parked just off Hwy 16 by the gates to Furlong Bay Provincial Park the morning of June 15, police said. When the man re- turned in the afternoon he found the vehicle had been pushed down an embankment and each of its windows smashed with boulders. Police said dam- age to the vehicle was extensive. The general duty members put their names forward and were chosen based on cer- tain skills they have. Money to pay the officers comes out of federal coffers, said provicial RCMP officials.
