Despite the dampened turnout due to rain last Thursday the sports day has been hailed a success and, according {o organizer Ron Vader, everyone who turned out had a good time. Trevor Hendry of Terrace won the all-round athlete trophy for track and field events. Kitimal won two gold medals for track and soceer: Kitimat's Em- porium Builders were soccer champs; Prince Rupert won one silver medal for soccer; Nass won one bronze medal for track and Terrace won one silver medal for track. Rain did not damp were able to walk over everyone by numbers alone. Kitimat was finishing last during the morning sessions when Terrace and Prince Rupert participants were active but during the af- terncon Kitimat was competing against itself in most of the events. , Terrace Cedar Kings won- the broomball games,’ playing against both Prince. Rupert and ‘Kitimat.- Terrace lost to Kitimat in soccer 7-0 and the Em- porium Builders won the next {wo games against Prince Rupert 2-1 and 1-0. The regional district was still organizing the results of thesports day at press lime, however, here are some of the results. The Hockey School starts at 6 a.m. on Wednesday, August 25 and runs through until September 4, 1976, finishing al 6 p.m, each day. During this period, the Arena will be available for Public and Family Skating and Private Bookings late in the evenings.
