LONDON — “Stop the tests — start the talks.’’ That was the cry of the huge
protest rally against continued testing of nuclear weapons organized by the British Labor ea
party in London’s famed Trafalgar Square last Sunday. It came as London papers re- | ;
ported that the final explosion in Britain’s current series of H-bomb tests on Christmas aa |
Island in the Pacific would take place within 30 days.

Only two weeks earlier, over the Easter weekend, thousands had participated in hae 4
