During discussion of the foregoing resolution, Alderman Mabbett queried Cheque Number 14219 and the Acting Works and Utilities Superintendent explained that it was for hire of equipment for the Prairie Avenue reconstruction. Alderman Traboulay queried Cheque Number 14226 and the City Treasurer agreed to forward a report thereon. From the Planning and Zoning Committee, August 4th, 1978 with respect to an application (R#13/78) to rezone a parcel of land at 3953 Cedar Drive from RS-2 (One Family Suburban Residential) to RS-1 (One Family Residential) to permit creation of a 23 tot residential subdivision and recommending that the application proceed to Public Hearing. Moved by Alderman Ranger: Seconded by Alderman Laking: That as recommended by the Planning and Zoning Committee, August 4th, 1978, rezoning Application R#13/78 to rezone a portion of Lot D of Lot C of NE& of SE of Section 7, Township 40, Plan 16882 from RS-2 (One Family Suburban Residential) to RS-1 (One Family Residential), advance to Public Hearing, Carried. Prior to passage of the foregoing resolution, Alderman Mabbett requested that the Developer be required to provide a pedestrian crossing over the Cedar Drive ditch. From the Leisure Activities Committee, August 10th, 1978, concerning clearing at Westwood Park and making several recommendations with respect to replanting and minimal clean-up work in the area. Moved by Alderman Laking: Seconded by Alderman Keryluk;: That the report dated August l0th, 1978 from the Leisure Activities Committee making several recommendations concerning the replanting and minimal clean-up of Westwood Park, be approved;
