SUBJECT: Use of C-900 Water Pipe

RECOMMENDATION:

That as proposed at the Council meeting of March 12th, 1984
consideration be given to the following resolution:

"That the City of Port Coquittam Subdivision Bylaw be amended.
to permit only ductile iron pipe for water works systems in the

City of Port Coquitlam."

BACKGROUND AND COMMENTS:

At the Council meeting of March 12th, 1984 the above resolution.
was proposed by Alderman Gates and seconded by Alderman
Keryluk. This resolution was made after Council had received a
report dated March .2nd, 1984 from the City Engineer and a copy
(of that report (but not its attachments) foltows this
memorandum. Subsequent to the making of the above noted
resolution the same was ordered to be deferred pending receipt
of further information from ali parties involved.

Mr. Peters now advises that the Public Works Committee has
given further consideration to this matter but will not be
making a further report to the Council.
