June 29, 1992/185 A Public Hearing pursuant to Section 956 of the Municipal Act was held prior to the Council Meeting of the Corporation of the City of Port Coquitlam held in the Council Chambers, Port Coquitlam City Hall, 2580 Shaughnessy Street, Port Coquitlam, B.C. on Monday, June 29th, 1992, at 7:30 p.m. Mayor L.M. Traboulay and Aldermen M.J. Gordon, J.J. Keryluk, R.H. Talbot, M.A. Thompson, and M.R. Wright were in attendance. Also in attendance were City Administrator B.R. Kirk, City Treasurer/Deputy City Administrator J.G.S. Maitland, City Clerk S. Rauh, City Engineer I.R. Zahynacz, Director of Planning C.R. Felip, and Director of Birector of Parks & Recreation K.J. Taylor. PUBLIC HEARING: Mayor Traboulay advised the following proposed Bylaws’ would now be considered: Bylaw No. 2685. To rezone; Lots 29, 30, 31, and 32 District Lots 174 and 289 Group One Plan 2080 New Westminster District from RS-1 (Large Lot Residential) to RM-4 (Apartment). | The property is located at 2379, 2383, and 2385 Shaughnessy Street and would permit the construction of a 24 unit Apartment Building. . Ms. Joan Ridley of 2339 Shaughnessy Street presented a petition and expressed her concerns regarding the strain on municipal facilities, schools, traffic, parking, and pollution problems, by allowing higher density in the downtown area. > Bylaw No. 2686 To rezone: Parcel "A" (Explanatory Plan 23021) Lot 20, Section 12 Township 39 Plan 16903 a . \New Westminster District from RS-1 (Large Lot Residential) to RS-2 (Small Lot Residential).
