A Public Hearing pursuant to Section 956 of the Municipal Act was held
prior to the Council Meeting of the Corporation of the City of Port Coquitlam
held in the Council Chambers, Port Coquitlam City Hall, 2580 Shaughnessy
Street, Port Coquitlam, B.C. on Monday, June 29th, 1992, at 7:30 p.m.

Mayor L.M. Traboulay and Aldermen M.J. Gordon, J.J. Keryluk, R.H. Talbot,
M.A. Thompson, and M.R. Wright were in attendance.

Also in attendance were City Administrator B.R. Kirk, City
Treasurer/Deputy City Administrator J.G.S. Maitland, City Clerk S. Rauh, City
Engineer I.R. Zahynacz, Director of Planning C.R. Felip, and Director of
Birector of Parks & Recreation K.J. Taylor.

PUBLIC HEARING:

Mayor Traboulay advised the following proposed Bylaws’ would now be
considered:

To rezone;

New Westminster District

from RS-1 (Large Lot Residential) to RM-4 (Apartment).

| The property is located at 2379, 2383, and 2385 Shaughnessy Street and would
permit the construction of a 24 unit Apartment Building. .

Ms. Joan Ridley of 2339 Shaughnessy Street presented a petition and
expressed her concerns regarding the strain on municipal facilities, schools,
traffic, parking, and pollution problems, by allowing higher density in the
downtown area.
