eer DISCUSSION = The current position regarding accessory home businesses reflects poorly on the City and its ability to project a positive image to attract businesses of all kinds. The proposed bylaw amendments would permit ‘accessory home businesses that have little or no impact on surrounding neighbours, and provide an ever increasing source of employment. The text of the proposed bylaw amendments will be based on that in the recommendations section, which has been reviewed by the Municipal Solicitor. The final text amendments will also be reviewed and approved by the Municipal Solicitor prior to Council consideration. The Planning Department, therefore, recommends that accessory home businesses be permitted in all single-family and duplex zones, subject to the restrictions noted in the recommendations section.
