SUBJECT: Shimizu Sawmill «= Loop Road

Recommendations:

That the proposed location (as outlined in the drawing) of
the loop road be approved.

That Shimizu sawmill must contact the Engineering Department
in regard to specifications for road width, grade, access,
etc.

3. That the City have vehicular access to the existing PoCo
Trail for purposes of maintaining the dyke.

Background & Comments:

Please see attached letter fron Frank Kamiya. The Committee has
reviewed the proposed alternate route for the PoCo Trail with
Mr. Kamiya and are satisfied that the new PoCo Trail route is
sufficient. Special gates will be erected at the ends of the
loop road which will deter motorcycles. Furthermore, Shimizu
Sawmill will do various Plantings on the south Slope of the new
loop road. |
