Seconded by Alderman Gates: That the City apply for assistance through the Revenue Sharing Act for the following projects in 1982: The reconstruction of Kingsway trom Mary Hill Road to Wilson Avenue; and, The completion of Kingsway From Wilson to Tyner. Carried. : Moved by Alderman Laking: Seconded by Alderman Gates: That the City confirm with the Department of Transportation and Highways that the following approved Revenue Sharing projects are to be We _ carried over into 1982: Reconstruction of Broadway from Kingsway to Cameron; Completion of East Bank Road from McAllister to Kingsway. Carried. Alderman Muldoon advised she was opposed to completion of the East i Bank Road at this time but will support the resolution as it is just an application to reserve funds. City Treas., From the. City Treasurer, December L6th, 1981 regarding Computer Dec.. 16/81 re Computer Requirements. Requirements. Moved by Alderman Gates: Seconded by Alderman Muldoon: That the City proceed with the purchase of a new computer and : associated software at an estimated cost of $195,000.00 to $242,000.00 with the funds to be taken from the computer reserve fund of $66,000,00 and prior years' surplus funding for the balance. Prior to the question being called on the foregoing resolution discussion was held and Alderman Gates advised the present system is out of date ard a new system is required; Alderman Wright. concurred with the need for a new system but expressed concern at the high cost; the City . : Treasurer advised the new system would be put out to tender and Alderman Laking suggested getting the cost of leasing as well as purchasing.
