Carried. In speaking to the resolution, Alderman Laking advised that the parcel in question was, at present completely surrounded by multiple dwelling units the Committee felt that in order to have the entire area conform to one zoning, they were prepared to advance the application for Council's consideration. Alderman Ranger questioned the exact location of the Lougheed widening at that particular location with respect to the construction of a berme as a noise buffer and noted that he had been of the opinion that the existing row~housing adjacent to the property in question was to have had a berme constructed and nothing was visible as yet and requested that the matter be investigated. He further suggested that the application under censideration include the requirement for a berme to be constructed along its north boundary, and the Committee agreed to take this suggestion under consideration. . Alderman Traboulay noted that the initial application had been for 12 units and negotiations with the appiicant had been successful in reducing the number of units to 8. Alderman Mabbett noted that due to ill-health, the applicant was anxious to have the application move ahead as quickly as possible.
