- Terrace teams share honors At girls’ softball tournament ‘Two Terrace teams shared top honors Sunday in the annual Terrace Invitational Girls’ Softball Tournament. The Bantam Cancel All-Stars went undefeated during the two-iay tournament over-powering the opposition easily with scores as high as 67-5. In the final game Sunday, the Cance] team downed . Kitimat 10-9 to finish with the perfectrecord. Kitwanga and Kitimat both ended up with 4-1 records but Kitwanga was awarded second place on the basis ofruns scored. In the squirt division, Vic Froese Trucking from Terrace racked up 45 runs Saturday and Sunday to win the trophy. All three teams in that category won two games, but Houston and Bob's Swingers compiled only 42 runs and 35 runs respectively. - In Pee Wee competition, Houston took the title, with Camperland from Terrace holding down second spot. Houston downed Camperland 11-9 in the championship contest Sunday. Thirteen teams took part in the tourney which began Saturday morning at 10 a.m. and concluded Sunday at 7:45 pm. The Cancel Bantams piled up their 67 runs against an unfortunate Houston team, butit was only one of three routs perpetrated by the powerful home club.
