Penny Priddy
Minister of Women’s Equality

Penny Priddy was elected in the
riding of Surrey-Newton in the 1991
provincial election. In Novernber 1991,
she was appointed Minister of
Women’s Equality.

Anurseby training, Ms Priddy most
recently worked as an instructor with
the Hunan Resource Program at
Douglas College. She has also worked
as chief executive officer for the Nova
Scotia Association for Community
Living, and as a human resources
consultant.

Ms Priddy waselected for twoterms
on the Surrey School Board, and
served as chairperson.

Ms Priddy has stood beside people
with disabilities and their families for
many years. In the community she has
been involved with the B.C.
Association for Community Living,
the Surrey Association for the

! Mentally Retarded, Surrey /White

Rock Home Support Association,
Boundary Unit Board of Health,
Surrey Parks and Recreation, and
Surrey Women for Action.

Penny and Rob Priddy have a son,
Sean, and a daughter, Bevin.
