Support retail, commercial and residential development along the riverfront (i.e. like Westminster Quay). Develop waterfront for recreation and nature — possibilities include parks, tourist shopping quay, water sports. Higher densities and expanded apartment areas must be balanced with additional commercial services. Preserve green zone along river and buffers between industry and commerce and the river. Do not destroy single-family areas to accommodate new commercial development. Old Quarry site is good for public and tourist type facilities. Old Quarry site should have more parking and public access. Ensure adequate parking for commercial developcent. Leave riverfront for recreation and nature. Both sides of Kingsway should be either highway commercial or industrial. Do not develop riparian forest at the foot of Mary Hill Road. Encourage the tourist trade to cet up. Create marine moorage facilities and RV park close to southside or northside co.wrercial facilities. Access and egress is a problem -—= perhaps consider frontage roads.
