Deputy City Engineer Mary Hall Road - Speed Linoit 518 : That the speed limit on Mary Hill Road between Easter Drive and the Mary Hill Bypass be increased to 60 km/h. | Construction of Mary Hill Road between Eastem Drive and Mary Hill Bypass was fully completed in the Spring of 1991. At that time we approached the Public Works Committee to have the speed limit posted at 60 km/h but Committee directed that it remain at 50 km/h until other sections of Mary Hill Road were upgraded. a a Again I am asking for Committee’s consideration of increasing the speed limit to 60 km/h. The road has a design speed of 60 km/h and is a four lane arterial street. Because of these characteristics, drivers find it very frustrating to only drive 50 km/h on this type of roadway. Certainly elsewhere in the City we have roads leading from the Mary Hill Bypass (ie. Kingsway) which start at 60 km/h and then decrease to 50 km/h as you get closer to the City centre. — : | | | - C.F, (Kip) Gaudry, PEng., Deputy City Engineer CFG: jlh ce Igor Zahynacz, City Engineer
