April 23, 1990/089 A regular meeting af the Municipal Council of the Corporation of The City of Port Coquitlam was held in the Council Chambers, Port Coquitlam City Hall, 2580 Shaughnessy Street, Port Coquitlam, B.C. on Monday, April 23, 1990, at 7:30 p.m. His Worship Mayor LM. Traboulay, Aldermen M.C. Farnworth, M.D. Gates, J.J. Keryluk, G.R. Laking, and M.R. Wright, in attendance. Also in attendance were City Administrator B.R. Kirk, City Clerk R.A. Freeman, Director of Community Planning CR. Felip, and Acting City Engineer D.G. Riecken. CONFIRMATION OF MINUTES: Moved by Alderman Laking: Seconded by Alderman Gates: That the minutes of the Regular Council meeting held on April 9th, 1990 be taken as read and adopted. Carried. PROCLAMATION: His Worship Mayor L.M. Traboulay read the following proclamation. WHEREAS § Community participation in local elections and voter turnouts is important; WHEREAS: Community involvement in local government decision making is essential to a healthy democratic system; AND WHEREAS: Community understanding of local government operations and the services it provides is of primary importance to meaningful participation at the local level, NOW THEREFORE: I, Leonard M. Traboulay, Mayor of the Corporation of The City of Port Coquitlam, DO HEREBY PROCLAIM the week of April 23 to 29, 1990 as "LOCAL GOVERNMENT AWARENESS WEEK '90” in the City of Port Coquitlam. BYLAWS : Moved by Alderman Gates: Seconded by Alderman Farnworth: That the "Development Procedures Bylaw, 1987, No. 9243, Amendment Bylaw, 1990, No. 2495" be reconsidered, finally passed and adopted.
