Carried. Ald.Mabbett re Huntington Rubber Mills- proposed Ind. development From Alderman E.W. Mabbett, February 2nd, 1977, referring to the fact that in late 1976 the Council agreed some action was overdue in regard to the Huntington Rubber Mills plant and property, and in advising of his understanding that representatives of the Company would be meeting with Council early in 1977, inquired whether any firm arrangements had been made therefore. Mayor Campbell then advised that the owner of the Company died last fall, and chat he had been informed by his son that there has been some delay in probating the estate; however, it was generally agreed that Matter should be pursued and the following motion was proposed: Moved by Alderman Mabbett: a ed Seconded by Alderman Laking: That a letter be sent to the present owner of Huntington Rubber Mills requesting that he arrange to meet with Council as soon as possible for the purpose of discussing the status of the proposed industrial y a project on the Davies Avenue site.
