Nearly 25 of the exhibitors are new to the chamber effart and three are from out of town. The theme this year is: Terrace. Land of Opportunity, a reflection of the Terrace and area role as the central service location in northwestern B.C. This is the sixth year the chamber has hosted a trade show, continuing a decades Chamber Of Commerce long tradition first started by the Jaycees. Doors open Friday at 5 p.m. at the are- na and the show continues until 9 p.m. On Saturday, doors open at 10 a.m., continuing until 6 p.m. Doors open Sunday at noon, and the show closes at 4 p.m. Chamber manager Bobbie Phillips says the show and its wide array of exhibitors highlight the strength and diversity of the business community. Visitors to the show will be able ta. check out the displays of well known local. - retailers, of public utilities, of the forest service, of Northwest Community College and more. As in past years, there'll be a central town square where local musicians will entertain throughout the weekend, “We'll also have food with Wedges and Hava Java returning,” says Phillips. “And an added attraction this year is a llama from the Northwest Llama Ranch,” she said. Once again, the chamber has hired a professional show company called Superior Shaws to provide an all-around atmosphere of booths for a quality layout. That company is also putting on shows in Smithers and in Prince Rupert, allowing the chamber here to combine with spon- soring groups in those cities to lower costs. The trade show is a major effort of the Terrace and District Chamber of Commerce which represents hundreds of businesses and organization in the Terrace and Thornhill area. In addition to its job of promoting busi- ness, the chamber acts as an information outlet for businesses and acts on their behalf with local and other governments. “See 0 our t booth for BEBE the latest in. - ceramic tiles; .
