May 2nd, 1977 From the City Administrator, April 28th, 1977, advising that the Vector Control Officer is making final arrangements for the Mosquito Control Programme to start on May Ist and has asked that Council pass the usual resolution with respect to low-flying aircraft for the purpose of mosquito control in the event spraying becomes necessary. Moved by Alderman Keryluk: Seconded by Alderman Ranger: Notwithstanding the hazard of low-flying aircraft over the Municipality for the purpose of mosquito control, we wish to apply for a waiver of Section 529, Paragraph A and B, of the Ministry of Transport Air Regulations. Carried. From the City Administrator, April 28th, 1977, advising that the Annual Conference of the Licence Inspector's Association of B.C. will be held at Williams Lake, June 28th to 30th, 1977, and that the programme includes a two-day seminar conducted by Staff of the Provincial Justice Training Centre on legal procedures, preparing and giving. evidence, etc. Moved by Alderman Laking: Seconded by Alderman Ranger: That as recommended in a memorandum from the City Administrator, April 28th, 1977, Mr. Ron Criggie, By-law Enforcement Officer, be authorized to attend the Annual Conference of the Licence Inspectors’ Association of B.C. at Williams Lake, June 28th to 30th, 1977, and that his expenses in connection therewith be paid by the City. From the City Engineer, April 2ist, 1977, advising of a proposed subdivision of the Remainder of Lot 165, South-east Quarter Section 6, Township 40, Plan 42669, located at 1030 Prairie Avenue, and requesting, as the two lots to be created do not comply with the frontage requirements contained in Section 712 of the Municipal Act, that an exemption, as provided thereunder, be granted.
