LEGAL DESCRIPTION: Lot 1] of Lot A of Sec. 6, Blk. 6 NRIE, Plan 8560 BACKGROUND: Council will recall that an application for rezoning of this property was considered on November 24th, 1980 ‘and that at that time the developer envisaged a shopping center development utilizing a CD zoning. This proposal was not approved by the Council and the application was referred back to the Committee fur further consideration. The developer is now Proposing a multi-family use for the property and will be at’ the Council meetins wt which this report is considered to explain his proposals. + It should be pointed out that both the Comnittesr a7 the developer are aware that this approach to Council is being made on a very preliminary. basis only and that there remains much work to be done on questions of servicing, access, pedestrian traffic, school capacity, and many other details; however, guidance from the Council at this point respecting the suitability of the site for residential development would be appreciated. RECOMMENDATION: The Committee recommends: 1. That the Council hear the presentation by the ; sdeveloper; . 2. That a decision be reached on-the suitablity of the site for residential development; 3. That the application then be returned to the Committee for further consideration.
