July 12th, 1976 Prior to passage of the foregoing resolution, Alderman Ranger indicated agreement with the formation of a joint committee but not opening of the Agreement and secondly that the cost-sharing Agreement should not be opened at this time in view of the fact that there had not been a full. year's operation of the facility on which to base a new agreement. The City Administrator, in reply to a question from Alderman Thompson, did indicate that at present the School District can only use the facility approximately 20% of the time but must pay 50% of the operating costs according to the Agreement, the limited usage time being created by the hours and length of the school term. In this respect Alderman Ranger noted that the percentage of use should not be the single consideration, but rather that it was important to consider the intensity of use as well. Alderman Mabbett suggested that by attempting to strike the committee in the manner proposed in the resolution the Council was fcllowing the recommendations of the Arbitrator in the case. Alderman Traboulay suggested that Mayor Campbell meet with the Chairman of the Board and explain the feelings of the Council in this regard. 8th, 1976 anologizing for damaging a City road and advising that they had earned the money enclosed in order to contribute to the cost of the road repair. The members of Council unanimously agreed that this was a nice gesture and showed that someone cared enough to put some effort into an attempt at restitution. Prior to passage of the foregoing resolution Alderman Traboulay queried Cheque #4326 to Altair Aviation Ltd. and the City Administrator confirmed this was in connection with the plotting of ‘wet areas' for the Mosquito Control Programme.
