WILLIAM STEWART MAY DAY RALLY SUNDAY CITY HALL SQUARE-2 p.m. Working people on the Lower Mainland will rally at Vancouver's City Hall Square at 12th and Cambie Sunday, April 29 at 2 p.m., to mark labor’s international holiday, May day. Feature speaker will be Jean Pare, vice-president of the Electrical Workers Union (CLC) of Montreal. Other prominent speakers will also address the rally. William Stewart will chair the rally. Major themes of the rally will be release of Quebec’s three imprisoned labor leaders; the fight against unemployment and high living costs; and peace. A lively program of folk music will highlight the program, headed by Tommy Hawken.
