Sideways Management

[t is recommended that Rolande Ross and Erin Murphy be
authorized to attend the Sideways Management Workshop
“Doing More With Less” and that related expenses be funded
by the City of Port Coquitlam.

Puarpose/Probiem:

The purpose of this report is to provide information and a recommendation regarding
a request received from two department staff to atiend the Sideways Management
Seminar.

Background Information:

Attached is a brief description of the aforementioned workshop being held in
Cloverdale on June 10, 1993. This workshop will address the issue of "doing more
with less”. This information would benefit both staff as we are always challenging
them to find more cost effective ways to provide our services.

Additional costs for che two staff to attend this workshop (ie. registration, etc) is
estimated to be under $50.00 and funds are available in the 1993 budget.

There is sufficient funds in the
1993 Parks & Recreation Budget.
