Rezoning Application R#3/75 to a Zoning Public Hearing. Carried.

From the Port Coquitlam Firefighters Association, Local 1941, May
20th, 1976, advising that that group weuld be involved in a forthcoming
fund-raising campaign for the Muscular Dystrophy Association of Canada.

That as requested in a letter from the Port Coquitlam Firefighters
Association, Local 1941, May 20th, 1976, approval be given to that group
to conduct tag days on October 22nd and 23rd, 1976 in connection with a

fund-raising campaign for the Muscular Dystrophy Association of Canada.

From Mr. G.ii. Dick, Principal, Hazel Trembath Elementary School,
May 27th, 1976, requesting permission to have a bicycle raffle for the
purpose of raising funds to assist a family currently facing unusual
expenses.

That as requested in a letter from Mr. GH. Dick, Principal, Hazel
Trembath Elementary School, May 27th, 1976, permission be granted for a
bicycle raffle to be held so that funds can be raised to assist a family
currently facing unusual expenses. Carried.

Prior to passage of the foregoing resolution, Alderz.n Keryluk stated
he felt it was a little unusual for schools to be identifying the very needy
and getting involved in a subsidy social and welfare kind of action; however,
Alderman Laking pointed out that this is an exceptional case and he commended
the young people of the school. for putting an effort into raising money
for this family wh2zch has a very costly medical item.

From the Union of British Columbia Municipalities, May 14th, 1976,
being official notice of the 73rd Annual Convention of the U.B.C.M. to
be held in Vancouver, B. C., on September 15th, 16th, and 17th, 1976.
Acting-Mayor Alderman Thompson requested members of Council who plan to
attend the Conference to advise the City Clerk in order that hotel
accommodation, if required, may be made and registrations submitted,
