Re: Senior Citizens' Centre Extension

We have now received confirmation that our application for a Grant
from the Recreation Facilities Fund has been. approved in the amount of
$83,333. This represents one-third of the total estimated costs of
$250,000. and the final amount of the Grant may be reduced if our costs
prove to-be less than the $250,000. estimate. At the present time the
low Bid on the project is $205,303. and the revised figure for Architectural
Fees and Inspection amounts to $22,500. for a total of $227,803.

- " Gouncil should now give consideration to accepting a Contract Bid

for this project. In this regard, the Recreation Committee will be
meeting on Friday, June 9th, 1978 and will be making a recommendation to
Council. A list of the Bids received is attached for Council's information.

I understand that a representative of the low Bidder will be in

attendance at the Council meeting and may wish to speak.
