New Skeena eyes
rising pulp prices

PULP PRICES are projec-
ted to rise over the next
two years to levels not
seen since 1995.

That forecast, from Va-
lois. Vision Marketing,
calls for steady increases
with pulp breaching US
$600 per tonne later this
year and hitting US $760
per tonne by the end of
2004.

Pulp in the U.S. current-
ly is selling for US $540
per tonne, up $40 per
tonne as of March 1, and
is now scheduled to rise
again April | to $580.

cent for the NDP, the new
Tpsos-Reid -poll found.
