EVENCHICK

Al Evenchick was killed by an
avalanche on January 7,
1999 while working near Bell
II on Highway 37 North,

An avalanche technician for the Ministry af
Transportation and Highways, Al has lived in Terrace
for the past 10 years. Originally fram Ottawa, Al was
attracted to B.C. by its beauty and outdoor recreation
possibilities, He was an accomplished whitewater pad-
dler, skier and mountaineer.

Al is’ survived by his wife, Tanis Purssell, his son
David and his daughter KaelaHe is also survived by
his father Abbey, his mother Lillian, his two sisters Carol
and Enid and his four brothers, Lawrence, David, Brian
and Mark,

A devoled father, husband and friend, Al will be

remembered for his enthusiasm and generosity.
