APR - 4 19 Mayor and Council March 31st, 1977 L.D. Pollock City Administrator Re: CS-1 Zoning Change - Lougheed Highway The attached letter was received from the owners of 1477 Lougheed Highway, that is the parcel on the East side of Coast Meridian, fronting on the Lougheed. The owners request Council's reconsideration of the zoning change that took place recently on this parcel of land. The Planning and Zoning Committee has reviewed Mr. Van der Veen's letter and they are not prepared to recommend anv reconsideration of the zoning change. The landowner's greatest concern seems to be for the fact that the G.V.R.D. ar: directly involved in any future rezoning as the whole parcel is in the Rural Zoning under the Official Regional Plan. It should be pointed out that the entire parcel has always been zoned “Lowland Rural" under the Official Regional Plan, even though a portion of it was zoned CS-1 in our By-law. The Committee feels that if the owner comes in with a suitable plan of development for the parcel that the appropriate amendment: to the Official Regional Plan could be obtained concurrently with the City's handling of any development proposal. The G.V.R.D. meet and rule on these applications once every three months and therefore the Committee cannot see too much of a4 delay. . The Committee does not recommend reconsideration of this zoning change.. = ions “TD. Pollock
