‘Dear Sirs:

Our Final Design Report of 17 August 1976 contains a cost estimate for
Contracts 1 and 2 based on April 1976 prices. The estimate has been
revised including supervision and contingencies, as follows:

If it is assumed that Contract 1 will commence construction in January 1977,

and Contract 2 in July 1977, they would overlap by about 6 months. In this

case the estimate for supervision on Contract 2 would be reduced by about
30 per cent.
Escalation from April 1976 to January 1977 for Contract | and to July 1977
for Contract 2 has been allowed for at 10 and '5 per cent respectively
giving the following estimated costs:
