SEES Recah, ‘manage the new branch, and in 1952, travelled back to Jeanne’s family home in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan to attend their wedding. Jeanne gave birth to sons. Michael in 1953 and Richard in 1954. When the Bank asked ‘Sandy to relocate to Calgary, they decided Terrace offered a better place to raise their family’ and declined. Sandy entered into partnership with Ray Skoglund on to manage A very Jeanne enjoyed her role’ as a. mother and wife and led a very active and full life. She devel- oped a reputation as a great hostess and her many friends ‘will fondly remember the won- derful dinners and get-togethers she hosted, both in town and at the family cabin: at Lakelse Lake. In 1974, Jeanne and Sandy suffered a great loss when Michac!, 21, was killed in an automobile accident. Rio married Sheila Guerreiro in 1980 and moved to New Hazelton that Same year. Jeanne took tremen- dous pleasure in her grandchildren, Courtland 6 and Megan 5. In September of 1991, Rio and Sheila moved back to Terrace and enjoyed the oppor- tunity to spend more time with Jeanne and Sandy. Some of Jeanne’s other inter- ests included bridge and garden- ing. She was a particularly avid golfer and scored two holes-in- one at the Skeena Valley Golf Course. For the past ten years, Jeanne and Sandy travelled each winter to Palm Desert to relax and play golf. Jeanne will be sadly missed by all who knew her. She was a _ caring friend who quietly lent a hand whenever it was needed. Her high standards and joy of life will be remembered.
