RECOMMENDATION.

That the EPC approve the purchase of 2000 Garden Gourmet backyard
composters from William Amy Investments Inc. at a cost of $40.40 each
plus taxes including delivery.

That approval be granted to extend ast years contract with Scepter
Manufacturing and place an order for 2000 Garden Gourmet backyard
composters with William Amy Investments Inc. upon receipt of written
confirmation of the award of the grant from Ministry of Environment.

The Garden Gourmet is the model supplied to the City in 1992, and is a
popular model in the Lower Mainland. It complies with Port Coquitlams
specifications. The exclusive local supplier is William Amy Investments
Inc. who have offered to sell the units at a lower price

I verify that there is sufficient funds in the Environmental protection
Budget for this purpose. The order should be placed after receipt of
written confirmation that the Ministry of Environment grant has been
approved.
