Res Oritish Columbia Summer Games

At the Counc{? meeting held November 2, 1981, the {nv{tation from
the Ministry of Provincta] Secretary and Government Services relative
to the 1984/35 British Columbfa Games was declined.

Subsequent to discussion; the following resolution was passed:
“THAT the City explore with the District of Coquitlam
and the Cfty of Port Coquitlam the possibility of
jointly holding the 1986 Summer Games with a view to
the fact that this will be the centennial year of the
arrival of the first trans-continental train."
