From the Community Development Committee, February 18th, 1977 with Comm.Devel.Comm.re lease agreem't for respect to a request from Orchard Valley Estates Strata Council to playground-Orchard Valley Estates Straté participate in the development of a playground on the small City~owned Council parcel of land at 2398 Atkins Avenue and recommending that the property be leased to Orchard Valley Estates Strata Council for a five or ten year period at $1.00 per year. The Committee further recommended that the preparation of the Lease be co-ordinated with the Leisure Activities Committee and the Orchard Valley Strata Council to include certain pees Stu provisos. a Nate in he pantera Moved by Alderman Traboulay: Seconded by Alderman Laking: That as recommended by the Community Development Committee, February 18th, 1977 an appropriatc lease document be drawn up to lease the City- owned property at 2398 Atkins Avenue to Orchard Valley Estates Strata RN IADR TOTS RA Reo nt On Council for a five or ten year period for use as a playground; AND THAT the said lease document contain certain provisos including; that the Strata Council carry adequate liability insurance on the said parcel of land; that the Strata Council save the City harmless from any legal action; that the Strata Council be responsible for taxes on the property and maintain the property in a respectable condition. Prior to the question being called on the foregoing resolution, Alderman Thompson advised that he had additional information on the matter which he would pass on to Council In Committee and he then proposed the following resolution.
